KLINE TOURS ITINERARY

CAPE COD – June 8-12, 2025

 Sunday, June 8

Today we arrive at the Mariner Resort on CAPE COD. After enjoying a wine and cheese welcome reception, we visit a nearby restaurant for a delicious dinner.

 Monday, June 9

After breakfast (daily), we drive the scenic Old King’s Highway along the National Seashore, stopping off en route to PROVINCETOWN, at quaint fishing villages and harbors. We have time for shopping and lunch on own in Provincetown, located at the tip of the Cape.

There are many interesting shops and boutiques to explore in this thriving artist colony.

This afternoon, enjoy an exciting WHALE CRUISE with the Dolphin Fleet, have your cameras ready to shoot these gentle giants of the deep! Dinner is included tonight.

 Tuesday, June 10

Today we tour HYANNIS. Highlights will include the KENNEDY MEMORIAL, overlooking Lewis Bay, where the President used to sail his yacht, and the St. Francis Xavier Church, where many a celebrity wedding has taken place. Also included will be admission to the KENNEDY MUSEUM, where we see many interesting photos and documents related to the Kennedy family.

Lunch will be on your own in Plymouth.

We continue to Onset for a fun Cruise down the Cape Cod Canal.

Learn about the fascinating history and points of interest along the Canal, including the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Sagamore Bridge, Bourne Bridge, Vertical Lift Railroad Bridge, Gray Gables, Herring Run, Aptucxet Trading Post, Scusset Beach Fish Pier, Sandwich Boat Basin

and Cape Cod Bay. This man-made canal, a National Historic Civil Engineering landmark, is the widest sea level canal (without locks) in the world. It was built to create more efficient nautical trade routes, opening in July 1914. Passage through the Canal is safer than having to maneuver around the dangerous shoals and unpredictable currents surrounding the Outer Cape, and also saves ships more than 160 miles of travel, instead of having to navigate around the tip of Cape Cod.

This evening feast on a traditional New England Lobsterbake.

 Wednesday, June 11

We journey to Woods Hole, and board our ferry, together with our motor coach, and cruise to the enchanting island of MARTHA’S VINEYARD. Known for its appeal to the rich and famous, including the first family, it welcomes all tourists. Oak Bluffs is noted for its Ginger Bread Cottages, located at the Methodist Camp Meeting Grounds. We tour the island, with time for shopping and lunch on our own in EDGARTOWN. It was here that the famous movie “Jaws” was filmed! The island has many picturesque beaches and natural harbors, and lovely whaling captains’ homes lining the waterfront.

We return on the late afternoon ferry, and this evening enjoy dinner.
